Women's Entrepreneurship Day Celebration

Founder, Tiesha Sinouthasy was proud to be invited to a panel discussion on Thursday, 11/17 in honor of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day on Saturday, 11/19. This special gathering was held at Venture Cafe Providence, in partnership with The Women's Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) and Rhode Island Bio. The event featured Peace of Mind Nannies at an expo of women owned businesses and entrepreneurial resources and a panel of leading women entrepreneurs in Rhode Island.

A lively discussion was had with us and six other panelists including: Tina Pedersen, Karla E. Vigil, Kim Anderson, Sue Gardiner, CFP®, MBA, Yemi Sekoni, MBA, and Trudy Mandeville, Trudy Mandeville, Ed.D. During the panel, Tiesha shared her efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion with Peace of Mind Nannies. She shared how our nanny agency is the only one in the state started by a woman of color! She also noted the efforts conducted to gain diverse applicants by industry (via youth programs and daycares), experience, gender identity and ethnicity. Thank to you to the other panelists who shared their insight into their lived experiences as women entrepreneurs and the importance of building community among one another.
